Asthma is disease which makes hard for children to breathe. It may cause to inflammation/swelling in the airways that lead to the lungs. The airways get tight and narrow as the asthma flares up. This can keep the air to pass through easily and thus makes the child’s breathing hard. These flare-ups are known as asthma attacks or exacerbations.

Babies or young children usually won’t have asthma but the few cases of asthma increases with age.
